B&C Blog: Decisions, Decisions

The Mets mounted a big comeback against the Cardinals last night, only to come up short in extra innings and lose 8-7. Albert Pujols was the hero, as his 13th inning hit knocked in, what turned out to be, the game winning run. Craig was beside himself that Jerry Manuel elected to pitch to Pujols; Matt Holliday was on deck with a homer and 3 RBI's already to his credit by the way. Craig was so mad in fact, that he called for Manuel to lose his job for the decision that ultimately cost the Mets the game; as usual Boomer did his best to act as the voice of reason. As for the Yankees, they got a win, despite Alex Rodriguez once again failing to hit HR #600. And both ESPN and Rick Pitino should be feeling shame on this Thursday morning and Craig tells you why...

Plus, Craig's favorite songs and a subdued David Wright, Al offers a little taste of his latest song parody, Omar on his cell phone locks horns with Craig, A-Rod's special balls, a surprise for Craigie, Little Anthony sings a classic, Mookie Wilson makes Craig's day, Jerry comes through with a classic Moment of the Day.

Prior to Jerry 'Rello' Recco's first update of the morning, Craig told us about a couple of his favorite songs, he even sang a few notes and he also filled us in on the wild times he enjoyed during his 20's, when 'hotel parties' were a common occurrence. After that Jerry got us all updated as to what is going on in the sports world and we heard from a very melancholy David Wright, after his 'Not So Amazin' Mets comeback try came up short last night at Citi Field...

With Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer Little Anthony scheduled to join the Program, Craig asked Al to come-up with a Mets parody song, using Little Anthony and the Imperials 1958 hit song, 'Tears On My Pillow'. Al belted it out LIVE this morning during the 7 o'clock hour...

Our boy Omar called up the Show from his cell phone this morning and he had a few things he wanted to get off his chest regarding Craig and the Mets. As usual, Omar was very boisterous, and he and Craig really had a spirited discussion regarding Jerry Manuel's decision not to walk Albert Pujols last night in the 13th inning...

When you are as big of a star as Alex Rodriguez is, just about anything you do makes news. If you follow the gossip columns, we do, you know that last year A-Rod was dating Kate Hudson and he had a very good season that culminated with his first World Series Championship…Coincidence??? Maybe...But after kicking Hudson to the curb, A-Rod has moved on to another lovely blonde actress, Cameron Diaz and his success has continued. But considering today marks a week since he hit HR #599, Craig figures there has to be a woman behind the drought. He provides some exclusive audio of who he believes is the culprit...

Boomer and Craig filmed an episode of the Iron Chef earlier in the week (which will air on the Food Network in the near future) and while they were there, Craig got a little smitten with one of the big wigs from the Network, a woman by the name of Susie Fogelson. Al decided to surprise Craig and he tracked Miss Fogelson down and she joined the Program this morning to awkward encounter with ole Craigie…

To kick-off the 9 o'clock hour, the guys welcomed a Hall of Famer into the WFAN Studios this morning, a Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer as a matter of fact. I'm talking of none other than the legendary Little Anthony, of Little Anthony and the Imperials. In addition to being a member of the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, Anthony is also a huge Mets fan, so he had a few things to get off of his chest. He also indulged us in singing Al's version of his 1958 hit, 'Tears on My Pillow', which was something us in the business call 'Radio Gold'...

Little Anthony stuck around to say hello to Craig's favorite player of all-time, former Met Mookie Wilson. Mookie is a singer in his own right, but he declined to warm up the pipes at the early hour, so instead he just talked about the Mets with Boomer, Craig and Little Anthony…

**This is a compilation of all the above audio in one nice downloadable package for your convenience...So go ahead - Download it and Enjoy!!!
