Cops: Medford Dad Hides Drugs Near Kids In Car
NEW YORK (CBS 2/1010 WINS) -- A Long Island father was due in court Wednesday for allegedly trying to hide heroin near his children during a traffic stop.
Richard Neumann, of Medford, was arrested Tuesday on Montauk Highway in Patchogue after officers pulled him over around 9 a.m.
Officers said they saw him trying to hide the drugs and a hypodermic needle near the car seats where his twin 18-month-old son and daughter were.
Police also accused the 26-year-old of driving with a suspended license and being in possession of stolen property.
The children have since been placed in the custody of their mother.
