Broadway Barks For Homeless Pets

The stars of the Great White Way converged on Manhattan’s theater district for the 12th annual Broadway Barks , a major animal adoption event in the famed Shubert Alley.

Broadway Barks is the brainchild of actresses Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore who co-hosted the event, which is sponsored by the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals , the ASPCA and Pedigree .

Celebrities including Sean Hayes, Richard Thomas, Tony Shaloub and Cheyenne Jackson took the stage to showcase animals from dozens of metro area rescue organizations, including Animal Haven, Cascade Beagle Rescue, Long Island Greyhound Transfer, Kitty Kind and others.

Nearly two hundred animals found forever homes, according to the Mayor’s Alliance.

1010WINS News Anchor Susan Richard was there too and has this special report in the latest edition of All For Animals:
