Reunited and if feels so freakin' good. Boomer made it back to work today after a week off and Craig was chomping at the bit to talk to his radio partner. The guys got things started by breaking down everything that went on over the weekend and a busy weekend it was. The Giants and the Jets both took part in a little preseason action. The Giants were without Eli Manning, who did not play due to the forehead injury he suffered Monday night against the Jets, and they lost to the Steelers 24-17. The Jets managed just three FG's against the Panthers, but walked away with a 9-3 win. Once again Jets all-pro cornerback Darrelle Revis was not with the team and Boomer and Craig both agree that it is time to start getting concerned. The Yankees took 2 of 3 against the Mariners and currently hold a 1 game lead over the 2nd place Rays, the Red Sox are hanging around at 6 ½ back. The Mets took 2 of 3 as well, but lost yesterday's game despite yet another strong performance from Johan Santana. Craig wonders aloud if there is any reason left to watch this Mets ball club…

During Jerry's first update of the week, we heard about the Jets plans to extend the contract of Nick Mangold, but nothing on the Revis situation. The Giants take the field without their banged up quarterback. Brett Favre takes a few snaps for the Vikings and pays the price. The Yanks keep rolling along and C.C. Sabathia takes another step closer to capturing his second Cy Young award. The Mets ace Johan Santana pitched like a Cy Young award winner, but got tagged with a loss for his efforts…

Last Thursday we had our annual Boomer and Carton Morning Extravaganza Fantasy Football League Draft. Boomer could not make the draft, so therefore is not in the league, rules are rules.
