Westchester Company Touts 'Trace' The Bed-Bug Finder
ARMONK, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- Move over Roscoe, there's a new bed bug sniffing dog in town.
Rescued from a shelter in Florida, Trace, a lab/pointer mix with big brown eyes, is now a bed bug finder, WCBS 880's Catherine Cioffi reports.

Trained to seek out live bed bugs and eggs, she's working hard these days following the growing number of bed bug infestations in the area.
Trace is the nose behind Top Dog Scent Detection Inc. of Westchester County -- a family-owned company that says it takes a "green" approach to battling the creepy-crawly menace.
Seth Tokson says his puppy targets the exact location of the bugs after which customers receive a written report and a recommended list of reputable companies to handle the treatment.
"This is the best way to minimize your expense...because we target the areas to be treated," Tokson said.
Tokson also touted Trace's success rate.
"We found that this dog is up to 98 percent effective in finding the bugs whereas a human being using their eyes is only about 30-40 percent effective at best," Tokson said.
