CROWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBS 2) — A celebration ended in death for a Caribbean soccer star in Brooklyn Monday.

Police say 27-year-old Isidore Phillip Tisson of St. Lucia was shot in the head and killed while sitting in a car outside a Crown Heights restaurant early Monday morning.

A woman in the car suffered a graze wound.

Tisson’s coach said he’d been at the location after scoring the winning goal on Sunday against St. Kitts and putting his team in next weekend’s Digicel Caribbean Cup final against Jamaica.

He played for St. Lucia during its qualifiers for this year’s World Cup.
