Jets' Holmes To Get Catches In Before 4-Game Ban

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Santonio Holmes expects to be plenty busy in the New York Jets' preseason finale.

While the starters will sit out, it will be the wide receiver's last chance to play before he serves a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Holmes says he'd like to try get about 20 catches at Philadelphia on Thursday night. He has five catches for 78 yards in three preseason games.

Acquired from Pittsburgh in April, Holmes has developed a good rapport with quarterback Mark Sanchez and been a solid locker room presence. Teammate Jerricho Cotchery says some painted Holmes as "a jerk" before he got to New York because of the off-field issues, but says he's been anything but with the Jets.
