LISTEN: 1010 WINS' John Montone reports

Police say Khalil Robinson was shot at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday night when two bullets crashed through the living room  and struck him once in the neck and once in the back in a first-floor apartment on Blake Avenue.

The boy was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was in stable condition.

Two groups of young men were reportedly shooting at each other outside the apartment. No arrests have been made.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

"They pulled out two bullets from the couch, it's ridiculous you can't even sit in your own home and watch TV," Kevin McCall of the Brooklyn-East New York Crisis Team said. I can understand if the young man was on the steet but he was in his house watching the Blues Clues on the television."

Community activists say the incident is a call for action against gun violence and they're trying to organize a city-wide summit.
