NEW YORK (CBS 2) — A traffic stop turned into a pot bust with a strange twist for a Queens man.
Delaware authorities said Edward Peterson tried to hide marijuana in a state trooper’s patrol car.
Investigators said the trooper noticed a marijuana smell coming from a car he’d just pulled over, so he searched the car, telling those inside to wait in his patrol car.
When the trooper went back to his patrol car, he noticed the smell of pot again.
Peterson allegedly tried to hide the pot in one of the patrol car’s seats.
He faced drug possession charges.
