Fiery Crash On S.I. Under Investigation

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — On Staten Island a car careened out of control, plowing into a gas pump and igniting a fireball.

A driver and one passenger were in the black Honda Accord when it crashed into the Citgo Station at Bay and Hannah Streets Saturday.

A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was being treated at a hospital in West Brighton.

The cause of the crash was still being investigated.
