The runway shows are being held for the first time around Lincoln Center's landmark fountain, on Manhattan's West Side. It had previously been held in Bryant Park in midtown behind the New York Public Library.

Fashion Week's preview of spring styles starts Thursday.

The mayor's office says fashion week draws more than 230,000 people and generates $770 million for the city.
