SELDEN, N.Y. (AP) — Police said a man arrested for possession of a hypodermic needle was found to be responsible for burglarizing a number of Long Island businesses.
Police said Wakendo Heath fit the description of a suspect wanted for burglaries in Selden and Centerreach between Aug. 8 and Sept. 6.
They charged him with 12 counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
The 21-year-old Selden resident was scheduled for arraignment today in Central Islip. The name of his lawyer was not immediately available.
