Police Arrest 2 In Rowan U. Student Attack

GLASSBORO, N.J. (AP) -- Two men face charges after two Rowan University students were attacked early Saturday at an apartment complex near the southern New Jersey school.

Authorities said more arrests were possible.

No serious injuries were reported in the incident at the Campus Crossing Apartments, located just off the Rowan campus in Glassboro, but authorities said one victim was cut on his left side when a group of males -- armed with baseball bats and a knife -- attacked the pair around 2:25 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led to the incident.

Joseph Lowry of Gloucester Township was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, while another man was charged with disorderly conduct.

Authorities said both were found near the scene shortly after police arrived.
