B&C Show Blog & Audio: Gang Green Bliss

After an embarrassing performance in Week 1 against the Ravens, the Jets righted their ship and handed out a beat down to division foe New England, outscoring the Pats 18-0 in the second half, on the way to a 28-14 win.  Gang Green certainly answered their critics, Joe Namath included, and Boomer and Craig had plenty of good things to say early on.  As far as the Giants go, the Charles Dickens novel 'Tale of Two Cities' comes to mind because Big Blue got whooped in Indy by the Colts, as older brother Peyton showed his younger sibling Eli how it's done, hanging 24 first half points on the Giants and winning the game 38-14.  Brandon Jacobs got benched for throwing his helmet into the crowd and B&C debate whether or not it was intentionally.  So the Jets and the Giants now have identical 1-1 records and a whole lotta football ahead of them…

Phil Simms called the Patriots-Jets game yesterday, along with Jim Nantz, on CBS and he joined Boomer & Craig this morning to talk about it.  Things got off to a little bit of a rocky start when Simms took issue with the manner in which Craig introduced him.  From there they asked the former Giants QB if he colors his hair, eventually they did talk football and plenty of it…

The Yankees have a huge 4 game series coming up with the Tampa Bay Rays so Al Dukes booked former Yankee hurler David Wells to join the guys in-studio.  These days Wells is working for TBS as an analyst.  Wells talked with the guys about his relationship with the late owner of the Yankees, George Steinbrenner, Wells will be on hand tonight at the Stadium when the Yankees unveil the monument of the 'Boss'.  He also offered his insight to what is going on with the Bombers these days, specifically the pitching staff…
