Hispanic Businesses Show Growth On Long Island
ON LONG ISLAND (WCBS 880) - Hispanic-owned businesses are showing significant growth nationally, and here on Long Island.
WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs reports that between 2002 and 2007, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, new data showed a 44% growth over that time period.
That’s more than double the rate of business growth nationally.
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano calls the new data further proof of the Hispanic community’s economic vibrancy.
