N.J. H.S. Student Tries To Make World Safer Place

SHORT HILLS, NJ (WCBS 880) – Danielle Flaum might seem a little idealistic, but at 17-years-old, she wants to change the world.

LISTEN: WCBS 880’s Peter Haskell reports

Her target is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president or Iran.

“I don’t want to grow up where I’m afraid that a bomb is going to strike at any moment,” Flaum told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell.

That’s why a year ago, she and some friends in Short Hills created nonukesforiran.org.

Flaum says, “One little voice, I’m only 17-years-old, but I have been affecting people and that if I keep continuing this I can continue to affect different people.”

Danielle is hoping that means Iran will give up its nuclear program.

The US has nuclear weapons that were manufactured before the world ban on them. What are we supposed to do with them? Were certainly not going to trust them in the hands of another country!

Iran Says they want nuclear for power yet they enrich it until it is weapons grade. Thats why they can’t be trusted. They also refuse inspections of their facilities. Why refuse inspection if you have nothing to hide?

How come the USA can have Nuclear weapons but other countries cannot?

    • Jojo

We’re not a threat to neighboring countries, nor has our leader claimed that certain countries deserved to be wiped off the face of the Earth! We have nukes as a protective measures, Iran has nukes for aggressive purposes only.

America should stop being the world’s big brother. Who are we to say what the Iranians can or cannot have? They want nukes, give them nukes. Rain nukes down upon their bony little heads until they got some sense knocked into them.

It’s a Win-Win situation. The Iranians get what they crave most – nukes. And the World gets rid of an annoying little pest. Win-Win!

We can still drill oil through glassed sands.
