OAKLAND, NJ (WCBS 880) - A parent's love knows no bounds.

LISTEN: WCBS 880's Sean Adams reports

10-year-old Christopher Brandle had brain cancer - medulloblastoma.

He died on March 31. The very next day, his family started the Christopher Brandle Joy of Life Foundation.

"My wife and I, and our family, our close family, and friends... I think we found our passion in life. We know what we're meant to do." father Brian Brandle told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams. "This is what we plan on doing until we can't do it anymore."

Brandle hopes to raise money for research and for families who don't have sufficient medical benefits.

The fundraising kicks off Saturday afternoon at the Oakland recreation complex. It will be a day of music, games, food, and fun.

Brian Brandle says it's something that Christopher would have enjoyed.

Among the activities will be a 50/50 raffle.
