Paterson: Thousands To Lose Jobs

ALBANY, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- Job cuts are coming to New York state's work force.

Gov. David Paterson said plans are in the works to eliminate 2,000 jobs through layoffs and attrition by the end of this year.

Pink slips will go out in mid-November.

The governor has said layoffs are necessary to close budget gaps.
