NEW YORK (CBS 2) — Around 25,000 runners will take the same steps of a September 11th hero. Stephen Siller, when hearing about the fires in the World Trade Center, drove to his Brooklyn fire house, grabbed his gear and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to help.

He never made it back.

Now in its ninth year, the Tunnel To Towers Run has become an institution in the City and around the world.
