B&C Show Blog & Audio: Two Different Worlds

Bobby Dwyer

Safe to say the Jets and the Giants are moving in opposite directions.  After a bad loss in Week 1 to the Ravens, the Jets have rebounded nicely and captured two division wins, the latest coming last night in Miami, where the Jets beat the Dolphins 31-23.  We have seen Mark Sanchez mature as a quarterback here in his second year calling signals for Gang Green and his stellar play has his team in first place in the tough AFC East.  The Giants in the other hand are just a mess.  Big Blue started the season 1-0 after beating the Panthers but it's been all downhill since then and yesterday they racked up 11 penalties, five of them coming on personal foul calls, and took a beat down courtesy of the Tennessee Titans, losing 29-10.  Boomer and Craig wonder if the Jets can keep it up and if Tom Coughlin has lost his edge…

Plus, Al 'Hughes' Dukes blows a potential game winning catch in his co-ed flag football league and Jerry 'Rello/Rico' Recco delivers an update, Boomer sends Craig panic texts over the weekend and Neil Best is shadowing the Blonde Bomber today, Craig says Jim Nantz has no backbone and he's also had enough of Tony Dungy, Jerry's Moment of the Day and an 'Attention Grabber' that is my kinda girl…

Our boy Al 'Hughes' has decided to try and recapture his youth so he joined a weekend flag football league, a co-ed league and safe to say it hasn't gone according to Al's plan.  After throwing four interceptions in the first game when he started at QB, a short lived experiment, Saturday Al tried his hand at the wide receiver position and let's just say it looks like Al is starting to run out of positions.  Jerry has a stable position here on the Morning Show, he delivers informative and amusing sports updates and after we heard all about Al's blown TD catch, Jerry displayed his skills and then Boomer gave Craig a nice gift…

Boomer and Craig are both Mets fans, yet the two of them have a great deal of interest in the Yankees success.  Craig you know is the founder of the controversial 'Mets Fans for Yankees Church' and on top of that he and Boomer, along with the Yankees organization, have created the TGFTY - Thank God for the Yankees – bracelets (Get your bracelet by clicking here or here).  All of the proceeds from the bracelets will go to charity, including the Boomer Esiason Foundation (BEF) .  So with that said, Boomer has been keeping close tabs on the Bombers, which was evident over the weekend when he was peppering Craig with text messages...

Jim 'uh Hello Friends' Nantz used to be a regular guest on the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza; that is until Craig took a subtle shot at him on the air a while back.  Well apparently Nantz took the shot to heart and has not joined the Show since, despite numerous efforts by Al to book him.  Craig finds the whole thing hilarious and continues to poke fun at Boomer's friend and colleague.  This morning Jerry played a cut of CBS's top play-by-play man and that was all Craig needed.  I'm sure Boomer can't wait until he crosses paths with Nantz again…

New Orleans Saints v Indianapolis Colts

Tony Dungy made news in New York for his comments regarding Rex Ryan's use of foul language on the HBO reality series Hard Knocks.  Dungy won a Super Bowl while coaching the Indianapolis Colts and based on his successful coaching career he landed a job on NBC as a studio analyst.  Craig would like to hear Dungy do some more analyzing of football games rather than keep tabs on the moral compass of the league…

Earlier in the Show the guys were talking about axioms in the NFL, Jerry enjoyed the exchange so much that he used it as his highly anticipated Moment of the Day.  From there I put my love for the Bengals on display (Who Dey!!!) and delivered a highly informative Blog Spot…

***Now we get to one the Blog's most popular features, the daily 'Attention Grabber'.  We have teamed up with the folks over at Maxim.com and today, in light of the Bengals 20-7 win over the Panthers, we took a trip to Cincinnati or the 'Nati' as Al likes to refer to it as, and we came up with this little lady that goes by the name of Christina.  Judging by the pictures I'd say she has a bit of a wild-side. A big 'WHO DEY' to Miss Christina and of course an HELLOOOOOOOO as well!!!!!
