The Yankees got a win from CC Sabathia last night in Toronto, the 'hefty-lefty's' 21st win of the season, but more importantly, the victory secured the Bombers a spot in the postseason. Now it appears they will play out the string and concede the AL East to the Rays, or will they??? Boomer and Craig talk about Girardi's choices and weigh out the pros and cons of each approach. Either way, the guys are both thrilled the Yankees will be playing on if for no other reason than to boost the sales of their TGFTY bracelets, which you can purchase at the Stadium and are now available on-line at Modell's and Sports Authority. A little basketball news to round up today's Show Open as the Nets have pulled out of talks with the Denver Nuggets regarding a multi-team trade that would have landed Carmelo Anthony in New Jersey. Craig wants to know why the Knicks aren't in the mix to land the former Syracuse star, or are they???

Jerry kicked-off his first update of the day with the final call from the Yankees playoff clinching victory over the Blue Jays last night in Toronto. Surprisingly we heard a subdued John Sterling who sounded physically exhausted by the time the final out was recorded. The Cincinnati Reds sewed up the NL Central last night and we heard some audio from Reds outfielder Johnny Gomes that sounded like he was in outer space. And some interesting audio courtesy of the Sports Hub in Boston of former Cleveland Cavalier Delonte West not denying that he 'smashed-out' LeBron James' mother…

After taking a call from Victor, Craig felt the need to explain the reason he felt the need to start up his controversial 'Mets Fans for Yankees Church'. I mean besides the obvious reason that the 'Not So Amazin' Mets are not very good. It turns out he looks at it as a 'can't lose proposition', then he compared it to receiving a lap-dance to drive his point home…

Then it was time for the wildly popular trivia contest we like to call, 'Do You Know More Sports Than…' Today we had the lovely Krista, who happens to be a Facebook friend of Al's (hmmmm), but these days who isn't a Facebook friend of Al's??? Anyway, Krista certainly knew her stuff and her opponent, Dave from South Amboy, was no slouch either. In fact the two were so evenly matched that it took a few extra questions to declare a winner…

Word is the Nets have removed themselves from the Carmelo Anthony trade talks, which leads to the obvious question, what about the Knicks??? Boomer and Craig talk about the trade talks breaking down and whether or not the Knicks could put a package together to lure the scoring machine to the 'Big Apple' or maybe just wait until his contract expires at the end of the season and sign him as a free-agent…
