Boomer was a little under the weather this morning as he was nursing a bit of a cold. But not to worry he fought through the sniffles and he and Craig did that thing they do. They got things started by talking about their night together at Citi Field, Boomer noted that Craig paid very little attention to the action on the field (I mean the Mets were playing so you really can't blame him) because he was busy doing that thing he does, which is schmooze, eat and drink and there ain't nothin' wrong with that. The Yankees followed up their playoff clinching victory Tuesday night with Javier Vasquez on the mound and a 7-1 defeat. The guys make a note of the overall poor play in the AL heading into the postseason and they agree that the Phillies (Holla!!!) are currently the best team in baseball. The guys rounded out the Open of today's Program by talking about comments made by Tiki Barber about Tom Coughlin and his presence in the Giants locker room…

Al is quite a celebrity on Facebook, he has 3,000 friends in the cyber-world, meanwhile he spends most of his evenings home alone in his Jersey condo writing parody songs and freezing his garbage. Well, now we can add chattin' it up with young gals on Facebook as one of Al's leisure activities…

Boomer made a trip out to the Jets practice facility in Florham Park yesterday to do a piece on Mark Sanchez for the NFL Today, which will air this Sunday on CBS. Boomer said that it was clear to him that Sanchez is the leader of this team and he was very impressed with the maturity of both Sanchez and his tight end Dustin Keller. Boomer also spent some time getting to know Braylon Edwards and after all of mudslinging that followed his DWI arrest last week, Boomer came away very impressed with the much maligned wide receiver…
