NJ Doc Admits To Possessing Child Pornography

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A pediatric neurologist in New Jersey has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

Under terms of the plea agreement, Ross Finesmith will be permanently barred from practicing medicine in any state.

The 49-year-old Basking Ridge resident faces probation and psychological treatment when he’s sentenced on Jan. 13.

Finesmith was indicted in 2005 as a result of Operation Guardian. The investigation led to the arrest of 39 people in New Jersey on charges of downloading child porn videos.

In regards to the comment about the doctor “walking”. Actually he was punished as he forfeited his right to ever practice medicine anywhere in the US. He also is yet to be sentenced and could see some prison time in addition to a long parole period. So it has cost the Doctor quite a lot. Hopefully this will act as a deterent to any other person who considers participating in such a depraved and damaging practice such as child pornogrophy. We must protect our children and we need the strongest laws and penalties to help us care for these young and innocent victims. May the Good Lord bless all children and may He help all of us try to live a God inspired live to help and love each other. Amen!
