Fatal Brooklyn Stabbing Still Under Investigation

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Investigators in Brooklyn were still trying Saturday to figure out how a domestic dispute turned into a deadly stabbing.

Officials told CBS 2HD that what began as a vicious domestic dispute left a woman dead and three others injured,  including a 4-year-old boy.

"Four-year-old kid, that's really sad. That's gruesome, I mean what kind of person does something like that?" said Hannah Mohamed.

That something horrible was happening inside the home became clear to the neighbors around 6 p.m. when a woman ran out of the front door screaming. Witnesses said a pair of neighbors, who own an auto repair shop went to investigate and found the stabbing victims inside.

"They heard the commotion ran in to the house to see if they could help because one of the victims came out bleeding and then they saw the disaster that happened so they called 911," said neighbor Justin Errante.

The dead woman was 37-years-old. At Lutheran Medical Center were a 62-year-old woman described by neighbors as her mother who was stabbed in the torso, a little boy described as a nephew slashed in the shoulder and another woman, 38-years-old stabbed in the leg.

"Immediately the cops went off to find him in every direction so their immediate response, it's what got him quick. They found him on East 7th. He got pretty far on foot I imagine before they found him," said Errante.

Police arrested a 46-year-old man several blocks away. The suspect's name has not been released, and charges were still pending.
