B&C Show Blog & Audio: A First Place Pair

Bobby Dwyer

Both the Giants and the Jets wake up this morning in first place in their respective divisions, thanks to a couple of beat-downs.  The Jets traveled to Buffalo and made easy work of the Bills to the tune of a 38-14 win.  Mark Sanchez threw two more TD's, bringing his season total to eight, and he has still not been intercepted.  LaDainian Tomlinson ran wild, racking up 133 yards and two scores.  The Giants honored some legends from days gone by last night as they inducted a handful of former players into their 'Ring of Honor'.  Tiki Barber was on hand and Craig was thrilled to hear that he got booed by the Big Blue faithful.  On the field the Giants got a performance for the ages courtesy of their defense.  They held the Bears to just three points and recorded 10 sacks on their way to a 17-3 triumph.  The Yankees win the AL Wild Card and will now face the Twins in Minnesota on Wednesday night.  We also heard all about Boomer's afternoon yesterday on the NFL Today, where he filled in for the ailing James Brown…

Al Dukes posed an interesting scenario to Boomer, asking him if Craig, Jerry and 'the' Eddie Scozzare were all wide-open, who would he choose to throw the ball too, this after Mark Sanchez had a couple of wide-open targets against the Bills in Buffalo yesterday afternoon.  Boomer reluctantly chose Craigie and then we heard from Jose Reyes thanking Jerry Manuel for all he learned from him…

Boomer owes Craigie a cool $1000 for a Yankee bet the two of them made a while back.  Boomer said the Yanks would finish at least 3 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East, well the Yankees finished second to the Rays, but only 1 game back, so Craigie won the bet.  But he struck a deal with the Blonde Bomber and instead of giving him the $1000, Boomer will instead pick up the tab next week when we have a staff luncheon.  Then the guys took a call from Jay and Craig proceeded to mock him.  After all of that Craig admitted to being attracted to Jessica Rabbit, the starlet in the 1988 film 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'…
