As the Jets have garnered the majority of the headlines so far this season and rightfully so, the New York Giants won their second game in a row and looked very impressive doing so.  After beating the Bears down last Sunday night at home, the Giants took their show on the road yesterday and invaded Houston, then proceeded to smack the Texans right in the mouth.  Eli Manning threw three TD's, two of them to Hakeem Nicks and Big Blue's defense surrendered just 10 points and held Arian Foster, the NFL's leading rusher, to just 25 yards on 11 carries.  Boomer and Craig are starting to think this team might be for real.  The Yankees have certainly proved their worth as they advance to the ALCS after sweeping the Twins and they now await the winner of the Rangers-Rays series.  Phil Hughes got the ball in the clinching game and the young fire baller came up big.  The Jets didn't play yesterday because they have a Prime-Time affair scheduled with Brett Favre, Randy Moss and the Vikings tonight in the new Meadowlands.  Craig is taking his two sons to the game and is hoping for a 'rock-concert' atmosphere.  I think he'll probably get what he wants because fans of Gang Green seemed pretty fired up about their squad…

Plus, Craig gives some inaccurate information and has a problem with the NFL investigating Brett Favre's alleged 'junk' photos, an update from Jerry highlighted by Craig's 'inner-doggie' being unleashed, a Week 5 recap, Boomer goes acapella and then he breaks down the Vikings-Jets match-up, Fireman Ed motivates Boomer to jump on Craig's shoulders, a Monday Moment and a blonde 'Attention Grabber' with a couple of surgically enhanced parts…

Craig was armed with an interesting factoid this morning and he challenged Boomer, Al and Eddie to come up with the answer.  Turns out Craigie had his facts wrong and it looks like he will be shopping for a few I-Pods in the very near future.  From there Craig tried to understand why the NFL is investigating Brett Favre and the supposed pictures he sent to, then Jets employee, Jenn Sterger.  Eventually we got a brief update courtesy of Jerry…

Since his update was brief in the 6 o'clock hour, the guys gave Jerry all the time he needed at 7:30.  He got things started by recapping the Giants impressive victory of over the Texans yesterday, complete with a sound bit of Big Blue's Head Coach Tom Coughlin.  Coughlin remained pretty even keeled after his team's big road victory and I think Craig captured his demeanor perfectly during his impersonation of the straight edged Coach.  Keeping the impersonation train rolling along, Craig unleashed his 'inner-Doggie' right on cue when Jerry reported on the San Francisco Giants come from behind win over the Atlanta Braves…

When Al 'Hughes' Dukes found out we that have John Mellencamp concert tickets to give away all week long, he figured it was the perfect opportunity to have the Boom's flex his pipes.  We're calling this bit, 'Boomer Cougar Mellencamp' and we'll be doing it all week long…

Boomer is calling the Vikings-Jets game tonight on Westwood One and he played in the NFL for 14 years, so when Craig asked him to give us a little preview of tonight's game, we were sure to listen…

Craig mentioned to Al that he wanted to talk to Fireman Ed to gage his excitement for tonight's Jets game.  Al picked up the phone and the next thing you know Ed joined the program and signed-off with his J-E-T-S chant.  Craig was so fired up that he asked Boomer to do the chant and Booms obliged, then promptly jumped on Craig's shoulders and belted it out…

After hearing a sound bite of Tom Coughlin following Big Blues win over the Texans, Craig's ears perked up.  With Jerry Manuel out of the picture, Craigie may have found a new foil for his impersonation bit.  Jerry liked what he heard so much that he turned it into his highly anticipated Moment of the Day…
