Hoboken Road May Stay Collapsed For Weeks

HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBS 2) -- Commuters could be waiting a month or more before a stretch of road near Hoboken's waterfront is passable again.

Chopper 2HD was over Sinatra Drive on Friday just after the roadway collapsed between 12th and 14th Streets.

A city spokesperson said they hoped to know what caused the collapse by Tuesday, but it could take up to four weeks to get fixed.

One theory is coastal erosion was a factor.

No injuries were reported in the collapse.
