Pipe Bomb Left On Driveway In Montclair, N.J.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. (1010 WINS/CBS 2) -- It was an explosive morning for one New Jersey man who found a pipe bomb at the end of his driveway.

The homeowner discovered the device while backing out of his Aubrey Road driveway around 6:45 a.m. Monday. The bomb squad was called in to detonate the device. Authorities said this was a live explosive filled with nails and shrapnel and could have done significant damage, 1010 WINS' Steve Sandberg reported.

Fifteen homes in the area of Aubrey Road had to be evacuated, but nobody was hurt.

Police are looking for whoever put the pipe bomb on the driveway.
