Alleged Thief Brings Crack Pipe To Sheriff's Office

CARMEL, NY (WCBS 880) - A 20-year-old Dutchess County man was arrested after he showed up to get fingerprinted at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office with a crack pipe.

LISTEN: WCBS 880's Catherine Cioffi reports

Frank Patrera of Hopewell Junction was being fingerprinted because he was arrested last month for allegedly stealing items from a boat docked at the Cold Spring Boat Club.

When he went in to get fingerprinted, cops say the crack pipe was hidden in his shirt sleeve.

Patrera was arrested again. This time he was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
