PATERSON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man accused of raping five of his daughters and impregnating three is scheduled to resume testifying at his trial Tuesday.
The man told jurors last week that his former wife had been attracted to his “high morals” when they met as high school students in Paterson.
The former wife, and a daughter who says she bore him a child, have already testified that he told them he wanted to create “pure” family bloodlines.
The man, who was arrested in 2006, has pleaded not guilty.
The Associated Press generally doesn’t identify victims of sexual crimes. It is not reporting the names of the husband and wife to protect the identities of their children, who are now over 18.
