Cliff Lee pitched another gem, going the distance against the Rays in Game 5 of the ALDS last night, yielding just one run while striking out 11 and not walking a single batter. Lee has been absolutely ridiculous in the post season, so last night's performance really comes as no surprise. Now the Rangers will take on the Yankees in Texas Friday night for Game 1 of the ALCS, Craig looks at this series as a mere formality and predicts another World Series appearance by the Bombers. Jerry got his first update of the day started off by reporting on the continued success of Rangers left hander Cliff Lee in the playoffs. Lee is 6-0 in his post season career (which spans two years) with a 1.44 ERA and he has won four games in which he has had double-digit strikeouts and not issued a walk. To put that in perspective, that feat has only happened two other times in baseball history!!! Allow me to repeat that, that feat has only happened two other times in baseball history, once in the 1903 World Series (Deacon Phillippe – Pittsburgh) and in the 1998 NLDS when Sterling Hitchcock accomplished it against the Houston Astros in Game 4.
