4th Teen Arrested In Vicious School Bus Beating

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — A fourth teen is now in custody in the reported bullying incident aboard a school bus on Long Island.

All four suspects are accused of beating a fellow teen that they believed to be gay.

The victim says he endured verbal taunts for weeks but did not report the abuse until it turned physical on Wednesday.

Three of the suspects have been identified as 16-year-old Chase Morrison of Lakeview, 18-year-old David Spencer of North Valley Stream and 16-year-old Roy Wilson of Baldwin.

Morrison will be arraigned Friday.

The identity of the fourth suspect, a 14-year-old from Elmont, is not being released. He is being charged with assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment.

Is a person innocent until proven guilty? Police grand standing, school and bus company trying to cover their butts. There is more to this story. Where is the follow up story? What ever happen to the youth? Its not over until the fat lady sings. Stay tuned folks. Remember the Central Park Jogger case? Oh yeah they had confessions. LOL

  2. parent says:

Parents neglect their kids and let their children roam freely. It takes a lot of work to raise a child right…but its very easy for a child to be bad. These kids shouldn’t allow back to the school…send them to military school or juvenile school.

We mostly all agree that the level of National, local and personal violence is getting out of hand.

Now, what are WE, as the people, going to DO ABOUT IT??

  4. jtorres says:

I agree with Steve – I remember bullying, teasing, taunting, etc. when I was a kid (I am older than Steve) and I NEVER remember it being this bad. People do not want to take responsibility for their actions and their parents are right behind them cheering them on. If I would have done anything remotely like this my parents would have kicked my butt to hell and back. There was no excuse for getting arrested or suspended in my home. YOU were responsible because you knew the rules and broke them. If parents would come down on these kids in the first place, maybe it wouldn’t go so far

    where’s al sharpton

  6. zodiac mindwarp says:

Why hasn’t the victim been investigated for harrasment.

It seems the 4 people are being charged because of their race

    1. Truth Be Told says:

Now this is something to think about?

  7. justin says:

Fair enough Me. I personally think the tea party hurts the Republican cause as it could surely chase away independents and moderate Dems on the fence. And as the DC congregation sponsored by Beck shows, the number of people involved is perhaps not a minority. Good point. However, whether we agree or not, one thing is for sure, Beck and others have energized a base that will have an impact and it also shows the depth of unhappiness in Obama, Pelosi, and Reid…

  8. Hmmm says:

Interesting that CBS chooses not to mention that the victim was white. If the situation was reversed, I’m sure CBS’s reporting would be more ‘thorough’.

    1. Truth Be Told says:

The victim was not white. Where did you get those facts?

  9. justin says:

Me, you are an idiot. I said basically the same things as Alegra, the oracle, and steve. Just come out and say that you don’t like the fact that I am a Republican and disagree with our President…

    1. Me says:

Me- I was only referring to your minority comment. Its not a minority anymore if Glen Beck is everyday in the news and people believe what he says.

      1. ME says:

        Justin -your right

  10. Me says:

Good to know that there are still people with brain out there.
( Alegra, the oracle, Karla …And Steve your right !
Justin and zzzodiac your not. The media is producing images of events according to how some people want to see it.
    and many follow like sheep.

  11. z z zodiac says:

Steve-4 thugs beat up a kid on a bus and you hmention the Tea Party in your comment? You sound intelligent!

  12. theORACLE says:

The reality is that these stupid young men have no real concept of right and wrong; they appear to lack an understanding of history which would place them in the position of a beating or a hanging if they sat in the wrong place on a bus or looked at a white woman. The strides to free them have fallen on deaf hears because these young minds are in chains and they remain slaves to ignorance.
In the words of Mr. T~ “I PITY THE FOOLS”

  13. Karla says:

    I TOTALLY agree with Steve’s comment !!!!!!

  14. alan foo says:

This is NOTHING compared to what they did to me, with the school admin blessings. And I’m not gay, Einstein.

  15. BS Meter says:

This is not “out of control” — its merely just being reported by our local, NY-area media. It must have been TABOO to report, with out media shielding this behavior, because its done by Black youths. It is rampant. Verbal abuse is far worse than anyone can imagine.

  16. Steve says:

Hate is getting TOTALLY out of control in this country. If it’s those thugs in the Bronx, these imbeciles beating up some kid on a school bus, or maybe is the (unmistakably) racist overtones whenever Limbaugh or Beck say something – with Bill O’Reilly’s PEA-BRAINED comment on the view, insinuating that “all of Islam” (and not just radicals) attacked us on 9/11. There were also Muslim victims of 9/11, but you never hear the Tea Party mentioning them.
How did things get so bad? A bad economy, and maybe people still flipped out that the president is not a white guy? I don’t get it!

    1. justin says:

Steve… Save the Elitist bull. This is a minority that makes these so called racist overtones, and just because I disagree with Obama’s policy and his performance does not make me racist.

Now, I do agree with your comment on Hate. It is getting out of control in this country. I am fast approaching 30 and I feel the kids these days are meaner and more brutal. Some simply don’t care. How about the girls who laughed at the girl who ended her life (on account of them) at her funeral. how insensitive can you get? What do you expect when we are living in a morally bankrupt society with no accountability and people not taking responsibility for ones actions. I hope for both our sakes Steve, our loved ones, and everyone that things get better. Call me crazy, I am not too optimistic…

      1. MissJusticeNY says:

The kids are cruel because parents aren’t being parents. Parents nowadays have this attitude of “my child is perfect and can do whatever he/she wants.” When I was a kid, I got into trouble and was punished. Now, parents want to blame teachers, friends, police.. anyone but the real culprit.

    2. alura says:

We live in a country with a generation that has no moral compass. None. IMO I feel it’s a lack of education combined with the economy AND the fact that people are just now standing to say something about it. It’s sad but it’s even more scary.
