Cats And Dogs Take Over Javits Center

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — The American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) teamed up to bring 160 breeds of dogs, 41 breeds of cats and much more to the Javits Center this weekend for the “Meet the Breeds” event.

The event will feature breed booths with experts and their accompanying animals available to interact with dog and cat lovers. Those attending can learn about the history and unique attributes to the breeds. There will also be vendor booths oferring various pet products, ongoing demonstration rings for law enforcement K9s, grooming, agility, obedience and more.

Gina Dinardo of the AKC joined CBS 2 live in studio to talk more about the event and introduce a few special guests.
