HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS 2) – A woman and two young girls were hospitalized after being trapped under a large tree limb in Hartford while watching a little league baseball game.

The limb fell on the bleachers at a field at Elizabeth Park Saturday afternoon, according to police.

A six-year-old girl remains hospitalized in stable condition at Hartford Hospital, while an eight-year-old was transported to St. Francis Hospital.

Fellow spectators at the game were able to lift the branch off the woman and girls before emergency officials arrived on the scene.

Police said a fourth individual was also hospitalized after being injured while helping to free the children from the branch.
