3rd Debate Today In Conn. Governor's Race
FAIRFIELD, CT (AP) - The Republican and Democratic candidates for Connecticut governor are set for their third live, televised debate.
Democrat Dan Malloy and Republican Tom Foley will square off Tuesday afternoon at Fairfield University. The debate is being sponsored by Connecticut Public Television, Connecticut Public Radio and WFSB-TV and will air live.
Independent candidate Tom Marsh wasn't invited. The three candidates are running for the seat being vacated by Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell, who's not seeking re-election.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Friday showed Malloy, the former mayor of Stamford, with a 49 to 42 percent lead among likely voters over Foley, a Greenwich businessman and former U.S. ambassador to Ireland.
The candidates' final live TV debate is set for next Tuesday.
