STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- A school bus driver has died of his injuries two days after an early morning crash involving a tanker truck on a Long Island highway.

Suffolk County Police say 56-year-old Piters Calixte of Westbury died Wednesday at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

He was injured Monday morning when his school bus crashed into a tanker on Sunrise Highway in Amityville.

The tanker was carrying 5,700 gallons of waste oil, none of which spilled in the collision.
