October: Great Time To See The Rockefeller Estate

POCANTICO HILLS, NY (WCBS 880) - Between the Picassos on the walls and the views the Hudson River and the Palisades, it's hard to imagine that Kykuit, a 6,000-square-foot stone house was once just a Rockefeller family home - where children played and where Thanksgiving dinner was served.

"Fall color is just spectacular and people love to come and see that," Historic Hudson Valley's Rob Schweitzer told WCBS 880 reporter Catherine Cioffi.

Since 1994, Kykuit has been part of Historic Hudson Valley and, while it's open to visitors all year, Schweitzer says October is when it gets really busy.

Schweitzer says, "We are up 40% in visitation over September."

He says it's because nothing beats fall in the Hudson Valley.
