Southampton Town Police say the shooter was dressed as a character from the film "Dead Presidents.'' The suspect fled the Dream Night Club before they arrived.

Police say the fight at about 3:45 a.m. Friday began over the costume contest and spread into the parking lot.

One of those involved in the fight retrieved a handgun from his car and opened fire. Two men standing at the doorway and not involved in the initial dispute were shot.

They were taken to nearby hospitals, but police would not describe their injuries.

A message left on a club answering machine seeking comment was not immediately returned.
