Woman In Witch Costume Found Shot Dead

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One woman is dead and another man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday morning in Brooklyn.

Authorities said they responded to 2336 Batchelder Street in Sheepshead Bay around 6 a.m. to a call of a person shot.  When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Ciera Glenn dead with gunshot wounds to her stomach and leg.

A 27-year-old man, who neighbors speculated was the woman’s boyfriend, was found shot in the face.  He was taken to Coney Island Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Building resident Luke Kopelakis spoke to 1010 WINS’ Kathleen Maloney and said he called 911 after finding Glenn’s body.

“I opened the lobby door.  I seen the young girl — 20 years old.  Dead. About six shells on the floor,” Kopelakis said.

Neighbors said Glenn was dressed in a witch costume and believed she and her boyfriend were returning from a Halloween function.
