Two Killed, Two Hurt In Waterbury Crash

WATERBURY, CT (AP) - Authorities say two people have died and two were injured in an early morning car crash in Waterbury.

Police say it appears that speed played a factor in the crash.

Police say the vehicle struck a utility pole on Sylvan Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Two of the vehicle's occupants, including the driver, were confirmed dead. The other two occupants were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

No names were immediately released. The crash remains under investigation.
