2 Children Burned By Bonfire In New Jersey

CLARK, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating how two children were burned by a backyard bonfire in northern New Jersey.

Clark Police Chief Denis Connell said the fire "flared up,'' causing the boy and girl to suffer burns Tuesday night.

They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. The extent or their injuries isn't known.
