NEW YORK (WFAN) – Seattle Seahawks kick returner Leon Washington joined Joe & Evan Friday to preview Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.

The ex-Jets running back on leaving New York:

“When you spend four years of your time somewhere where guys really gel together, you’re going to miss them,” Washington said. “I watch the Jets all the time… I’m rooting for them.”

On Seattle’s road woes:

“When we go on the road, we just gotta play better… It’s a long season, there are eight more games, we have plenty of time to get better on the road.”

On QB Charlie Whitehurst’s first career NFL start:

“I expect Whitehurst to go in there and step up and be an NFL quarterback,” said Leon. “He’s been in this league for 5 years, like a bunch of us veteran players, he should go in there and fit right in.”
