Officials Shut Down N.J. School After Fire

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (CBS 2) -- A Bergen County school was shut down after a fire.

Flames broke out early Monday morning at the Hawes Elementary School in Ridgewood.

An air conditioning unit caught fire, creating smoky conditions.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Nevertheless, the superintendent said Hawes Elementary was closed for the day while officials investigate.
