Man Accused Of Killing Daughter To Enter Plea

NEW YORK (AP) -- A Brooklyn man will spend 20 years to life in prison for killing his 4-year-old daughter and assaulting her baby brother.

District Attorney Charles J. Hynes said Michael Jimenez agreed to plead guilty to both attacks in exchange for the sentence.

Authorities said the little girl, Ginelis, was beaten, shaken and bitten in August 2008. Her ribs and collarbone were broken, and her liver was bruised.

The New York Post said Ginelis weighed 24 pounds.

An autopsy found that she also had suffered a broken arm that was never treated.
