Rutgers Needs Wins To Become Bowl Eligible

CINCINNATI (AP) — The Big East's two-time defending champions are down to their last chance to stay eligible for a bowl.

Cincinnati is 3-6 and needs to win its last three games just to become bowl eligible. It's a huge comedown for a program that has played in the Orange Bowl and the Sugar Bowl in the last two years.

The Bearcats' opponent is in nearly the same situation. At 4-5, Rutgers needs to win two of its last three to become bowl eligible for the sixth straight season. The bottom two teams in the Big East will play Saturday in Cincinnati, with one of them leaving very disappointed.
