Investigation Continues After Pit Bull Rescue In N.Y.

TROY, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities in Troy were still looking for the person who kept nine pit bulls caged in an apartment where, police said, they found equipment used to train dogs for fighting.

The pit bulls were found last weekend by firefighters responding to a small fire that was set in the building.

Police said the dogs appeared to have been fed human supplements to bulk them up. Officers also found heavy chain collars and wound care products.

Officials said the dogs showed signs of having been injured in fights, but they’re all expected to recover.

Police said their investigation was continuing.

This is just one of so many examples of the poor dogs of this breed who get abused and forced to fight through no fault of their own. People who do this deserve nothing less than a long career in jail.

  2. Tonya Choryan says:

Thank God this baby was spared the life of a fighting dog!
