Mets' Martinez, Murphy Examined

NEW YORK (AP) — Mets players Fernando Martinez and Daniel Murphy have been examined by team physician Dr. Struan Coleman.

The players recently returned from the Dominican Republic where they were playing winter league ball. Murphy, an infielder who missed most of last season because of a sprained knee, had soreness in his left hamstring.

Martinez, an outfielder, had stiffness in his right knee.

The Mets say they expect to have updated information tomorrow.
