Suspect Arrested In Connection With Manhattan Robberies
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a Bronx suspect wanted in connection with at least five robberies or robbery attempts on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The suspect, 55-year-old Tyrone Hunter, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with robbery and assault.
Police believe Hunter is responsible for the incidents that took place last Wednesday and Thursday. Hunter allegedly threatened a total of five women and got away with property from two of them.
Police said that during an alleged robbery attempt on Thanksgiving Day, Hunter told a victim, "I have a knife. I just want your money" and fled with her watch and iPod.
