S.I. Mansion Used In 'The Godfather' Film For Sale

NEW YORK (AP) -- An iconic piece of pop culture is for sale: The 8-bedroom Staten Island mansion used in the epic 1972 mobster movie "The Godfather."

The owners are asking $2.9 million or an offer they can't refuse.

The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It starred Marlon Brando as the fictitious mobster Vito Corleone and actors Al Pacino and Robert Duvall.

Owner James Norton says his mother kept many artifacts from the movie, including Brando's cue cards.

Scenes were filmed inside and outside the 4-acre estate.

The house also features two fireplaces, a basement pub, a four-car garage and an in-ground pool.

Realtor Connie Profaci says it needs some work but the family is betting on the house's lore as a selling point.
