BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) — Three people are dead after a house fire in Binghamton, including a four-year-old child.

Binghamton fire officials say they got their first call about the blaze at about 5:15 a.m. Saturday.

Fire Captain Gary O’Neill tells the Press & Sun-Bulletin that by the time they arrived just minutes later, fire and smoke were pouring from the windows and rescuers were not able to get inside.

The bodies of the victims were later found by the front door.

Their identities were not immediately released.
